2.1 Data controller

The controller for the processing of personal data on the platform is Bertenghi & Partner AG, Seestrasse 6, 8002 Zurich, info@athlete-advisors.com. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG) and — where applicable — the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply.

2.2 Core principle of the platform (anonymous until acceptance)

Athletes may use the marketplace and the onboarding anonymously. To submit a request they create an account with an email address (email confirmation). Towards Solution Partners athletes remain pseudonymous; contact details are only disclosed after a Solution Partner has accepted the request. From acceptance onward, identity and contact details of both sides become mutually visible. Until acceptance, partners only see anonymised characteristics. There is no ID or identity check; “verified” means solely registered and confirmed or curated.

2.3 Which data we process

• Athletes: pseudonymous need and profile data (specialty, topics, coarse-grained information such as nationality/sport/federation/level); for submitting a request, an email address and account credentials (password hash). Identifying contact details are only disclosed after the partner has accepted the request — then mutually. No ID data is collected or stored.
• Solution Partners / Professional Access: company and contact data, offer data, login data.
• Usage data: technical log data for the provision and security of the platform.

2.4 Purposes and legal bases

We process data to provide the matchmaking service, to manage accounts and requests, for contract handling, for communication, and for the security and further development of the platform. The legal bases are the performance of the contract, your consent (e.g. account creation, email communication) and legitimate interests in a secure and functioning operation.

2.5 Recipients and processors

Contact details of an athlete are disclosed exclusively after the relevant request has been accepted by the Solution Partner, and only to that one partner. Until acceptance, partners only receive anonymised need data. To operate the platform we engage carefully selected technical service providers as processors (for hosting and database and for email delivery, among others). They are contractually bound to confidentiality and to compliance with data protection and may process the data only on our instructions. On request we will inform you about the providers used.

2.6 Retention

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or to comply with legal obligations, and is deleted or anonymised thereafter.

2.7 Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. Requests to: info@athlete-advisors.com.

2.8 Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption, access control, separation of pseudonymous and identifying data) to protect your data.
